Latrobe, PA – Geneva put forth one of its best efforts of the season in tying a very good Seton Hill team on Saturday night. However, the Golden Tornadoes could not build upon that momentum on Wednesday in a 3-0 loss at St. Vincent College. The loss dropped Geneva to 0-6-2 on the season as the offensive problems continued for the Golden Tornadoes.
In eight matches in 2006, the Golden Tornadoes have managed just four goals. On Wednesday, Geneva watched St. Vincent put together all of its offense in the first half and then cruise to a victory. Out shot 15-6 on the day, Geneva had very little to show for on the offensive side of the field.
Goalkeeper Sam McCracken made ten saves in an effort to keep the match close, but Geneva could not capitalize.
The Golden Tornadoes, who have played just one match in the AMC North, will get back into conference play on Saturday when they welcome Houghton College to the Merriman Athletic Complex in a match set for 1:00 pm.
