Also in women’s action, Dee Koutsourais finished second in the 10000 meter event and improved on her NAIA qualifying time with a 38.10 mark. In the men’s 10000 meter race, Andrew Foxenberg also finished second overall with a school record time of 31.58. Geneva’s women also brought back the gold in the 4 x 800 relay. Geneva teammates Susan Fletcher, Marsha Miller, Laura Seyler and Rebecca VanRegenmorter beat the championship field for a first place finish. In team scoring, Geneva’s women place ninth out of 12 schools with 38 points, while the men’s team also was ninth overall with a total of 34 points. St. Francis, PA took home the overall championships on both the men’s and women’s side of the meet. |
