Season Ends With Hard Fought Loss at Regionals

Tiffin, OH -  Geneva's softball team saw its season come to an end with a hard fought 2-1 loss against Notre Dame College on Thursday. The Golden Tornadoes ended their season with an overall record of 33-22 after dropping the second round loser's bracket game.
Notre Dame got single runs in the 1st and 4th innings to open a 2-0 lead. After a Mary Gaylor triple, Bridget Beachy came through with a pinch hit, RBI single to pull Geneva closer in the fifth inning.

Erinne Metler pitched another complete game, but came away with the hard luck loss. Metler ended her Geneva career with a seven-hit effort on the mound. Geneva's all-time wins leader ended the 2007 campaign with an 18-11 record.
Geneva managed just three hits in the loss, but had the tying run on second with one out in the seventh, but couldn't come up with the game tying hit.
