Geneva Set to Host NCCAA National Baseball Championship

Beaver Falls, PAGeneva College and the Golden Tornadoes baseball team is set to host the NCCAA (National Christian College Athletic Association) Baseball Championship in Struthers, OH. In conjunction with Bob Cene Park in Struthers, OH,  Geneva will act as the host school for the ten-team field beginning on Wednesday morning.

            Geneva, which finished the regular season and NAIA regional play with an overall record of 29-20, will be the number four seed in the ten-team field and open against Bluefield College on Wednesday morning. 

            With the games beginning on Wednesday morning at 10:00 am, the championship round is scheduled for 11:00 am on Saturday.
            Following are the seedings and schedule for the upcoming tournament:

            #1 – Mt. Vernon Nazarene

            #2 – Faulkner University

            #3 – Southern Wesleyan University

            #4 – Geneva College

            #5 – Bluefield College

            #6 – Northwestern, MN

            #7 – Trinity Christian University

            #8 – Trinity International University

            #9 – Greenville College

            #10 – Judson College

            Wednesday, May 16

            10:00 am –       Trinity International vs. Greenville (GM 1)

                                    Geneva vs. Bluefield (GM 2)

            12:30 pm -       Northwestern vs. Southern Wesleyan (GM 3)

                                    Trinity Christian vs. Judson (GM 4)

            3:00 pm -         Loser GM 3 vs. Loser GM 4 (GM 5)

                                    Loser GM 1 vs. Loser GM 2 (GM 6)

            7:30 pm -         Winner GM 1 vs. Mt. Vernon Nazarene (GM 7)

                                    Winner GM 2 vs. Faulkner (GM 8)
