Homecoming 5K makes a comeback: register now

5k.jpgRunners, approach the starting blocks and ready your pens! The Geneva College track and field team is now accepting registrations for the 2007 community 5K race.

After a five year hiatus, the 5K race has returned to College Hill. Event registration for this runners battle will begin promptly at 9:00 a.m. on Sept. 29 in the Geneva College studio theater parking lot. The race will begin at the theater at 10:00 a.m. with the finish line on the new synthetic turf of Reeves Field.

The race is being coordinated by Bret Otte, the physical education department chair at Geneva College. The "course" says Otte, "will be a smooth, flat course throughout the residential streets of College Hill that should produce some really fast times."

Experienced and novice runners alike will enjoy this course. Registration begins now. For more information including the course map, registration fees, forms and sponsors visit - click here.
