College welcomes the community to Homecoming 2007

homecoming.jpgGeneva College celebrates homecoming this week, welcoming the community to join GC alumni, current students and staff for a day full of fun.

The celebration will begin with a 5K race through College Hill. Registration is from 9 – 9:30 a.m. The public is welcome to participate. Contact Bret Otte at (724) 847-6761 or Alumni Relations at (724) 847-6520 for more information.

The festivities continue at 10 a.m. with the College Hill festival. In addition to the food and merchant booths that will line College Avenue, there will also be live music, activities and games for all ages, demonstrations and other entertainment.

This year’s homecoming will wrap up with a football game at 4 p.m. Come cheer on Geneva’s Golden Tornadoes as they take on LaSalle University’s Explorers. The half-time show will feature the crowning of the 2007 homecoming king and queen, as well as a performance by Geneva’s marching band.
