NOT SO MUCH FUN IN THE SUN FOR CROSS COUNTRY

Slipper Rock, PA    On a much less than ideal day to run, Geneva’s cross country teams competed at Slippery Rock University in a five-team meet. The men’s team did not calculate a team score because one runner was unable to start the race and another did not finish. The women finished fourth out of five teams.

Phil and Josh Falk once again led the way for the men’s team as Geneva’s number one and two finishers, while Ryan Thorn and Josh Brown also had solid performances.

In women’s action, Beth Bartolomeo was Geneva’s top finisher and only Golden Tornado runner to finish in the top 15. Other top finishers for the Golden Tornadoes included Susan Fletcher, Laura Seyler, Rebecca Van Regenmorter and Sara Morrison.

Slippery Rock came away with the top spot in both the men’s and women’s competition.

Next week, Geneva will travel to Pittsburgh to compete at Carnegie Mellon University. After a bye week, Geneva will visit Saint Vincent College on October 27th for the Presidents’ Athletic Conference Championships.
