ZAC ATTACK, BUFFALINI EXTENDS STREAK
WITH LAST MINUTE GAME WINNER

Bethany, WV – Geneva’s men’s soccer team improved to 10-1 on Friday night and won for the 10th consecutive time with a 1-0 victory at Bethany College. Freshman Zac Buffalini found the net with just 37 seconds remaining in the match for the only goal of the night.

The Golden Tornadoes registered their third consecutive shut-out by three different goalkeepers. On this night, Senior Sam McCracken took the honors with his third shut-out of the season.

Playing their first match against a PAC opponent after starting the season with ten matches outside the Presidents’ Athletic Conference, the Golden Tornadoes did not find the sledding easy but in the end got the job done thanks to the heroics of Buffalini.

Geneva will look to extend its streak again next Wednesday night when it returns to Merriman Athletic Complex to host Washington & Jefferson College.

Point of Excellence

Geneva graduates pass the test for teacher certification in elementary education (Praxis II) at over a 99% rate in the first attempt–one of the highest pass rates in Pennsylvania.
