| 23 Honored for Academic Excellence |
Beaver Falls, PA – The Presidents’ Athletic Conference released its academic honor roll for the spring of 2010 this week. The PAC honors student-athletes across the conference that have put together at least a 3.6 GPA during the winter and spring athletic sessions. A total of 327 student-athletes were honored throughout the conference including 23 from Geneva College. Combined with the 314 honorees from the fall honor roll, the PAC honored a total of 641 student-athletes during the 2009-10 academic year, a six percent increase from the total from last year. As far as Geneva College honorees, the softball team led the way with eight honorees with women’s track and field coming in next with a total of six recipients. Men’s basketball featured three award winners with women’s basketball, men’s track and field and baseball coming in with two each. Geneva College is a comprehensive Christian college of the arts, sciences and professional studies. Founded in the tradition of the Reformed Christian faith, Geneva prepares students to serve Christ in all areas of society: work, family and the church. Geneva College’s philosophy of education is based on the Foundational Concepts of Christian Higher Education. Geneva is a founding member of the Council for Christian Colleges & Universities (CCCU).
