Beaver Falls, PA – A Saturday night at Reeves Field in fall has a feel all of its own. With a packed stadium, along with the 120-year history of Geneva football, the environment at Reeves Field is one of the most electrifying in all of NCAA Division III. D3football.com verified the numbers this week when it released the top attendance figures in Division III football across the country. Ranking seventh among all the football schools in the country, Geneva College averaged nearly 5200 spectators per game during its five game home schedule in 2010.

“We have a tremendous home field advantage,” said Geneva head coach Geno DeMarco. “Our guys feed off of the crowd on Saturday’s whether we are playing in the afternoon or under the lights. We have enjoyed a great new facility in the last couple of years and we are so grateful for the tremendous support we receive every year.”

St. John’s, MN ranked number one in Division III attendance with an average of 8,651. Rounding out the top five was Hampden-Sydney (7,024), UW-Whitewater (6,113), Wabash (5,789) and McDaniel (5,642). The next closest school in attendance figures within the Presidents’ Athletic Conference to Geneva was Grove City coming in at number 21 with an average of 3,420 per game.

Geneva College will begin the 2011 season as a full-fledged member of the PAC and NCAA Division III following the completion of its four-year provisional status. The 2011 schedule kicks off at home on September 3rd against Frostburg State. Other home games on the 2011 schedule include Bethany (Sept. 24), Saint Vincent (Oct. 1), Grove City (Oct. 15) and Thiel (Oct. 29).
