Colick Named NCCAA All-American

Rich ColockBeaver Falls, PA – Geneva College senior Richard Colick ended his brilliant basketball career following a disappointing loss in the NCCAA East Regional semi-finals. Despite that disappointment, Colick has found himself in a very rare position. For the third consecutive year, Colick has been selected as an NCCAA first team All-American. The 6’3 forward finished the year with a team best 18.1 points and 6.9 rebounds per game. He also finished among the top ten in both points and rebounds for a career in the storied history of Geneva basketball.

Colick was also awarded the NCCAA east region player of the year award for the third consecutive season while receiving Coach’s Honors in the Presidents’ Athletic Conference. Fellow senior Bryan Hill, who finished his career as Geneva’s all-time leading three point shooter, also received PAC Coach’s Honors for his season that featured 12.3 points per game. On the women’s side, Alyse Scarsella was honored by the PAC coaches for her standout season for the Golden Tornadoes.

“Rich is a special player,” said head coach Jeff Santarsiero. “To say we are going to miss his production on the court is a gross understatement. Both he and Bryan were outstanding for our program throughout their careers and every award that is bestowed upon them is well deserved.”

Geneva finished the season with an 18-9 overall record marking the second consecutive 18-win season for Santarsiero and the Golden Tornadoes.
