Geneva Set to Meet Top Ranked Messiah

Beaver Falls, PA – The Geneva College men’s soccer team is so excited to host top ranked and defending national champion Messiah College, it moved the game time up two hours. In reality, the threat of rainy weather forced the kickoff to be moved from 4 pm to 2 pm on Saturday afternoon. If the conditions are wet, the game may be moved up to the turf field inside of Reeves Field. With the Geneva football team hosting Bethany College at 7 pm, the soccer match was officially moved up two hours.

Geneva comes into action having won five straight matches and is sitting with an overall record of 6-1-1. Meanwhile, Messiah is in mid-season form with a 6-0-1 record as it continues to move toward defending its national championship as the nation’s top ranked team in NCAA Division III.

The Golden Tornadoes will open conference play next Saturday when they host Washington & Jefferson in their first-ever Presidents’ Athletic Conference match. Geneva will play one final non-conference match next Wednesday when it visits Muskingum College.
