Geneva Set For PAC Championships

Beaver Falls, PA – The post-season has arrived in the Presidents’ Athletic Conference. The Geneva College women’s tennis team will be first up when it comes to the PAC post-season. Competing at the Pennbriar Athletic Club in Erie, PA, Geneva will send a total of seven student-athletes to compete in five singles’ brackets and two doubles’ brackets.

Senior Kara Zimmerman and her 4-6 overall record will compete in #1 singles as the seventh seed in the eight player field. In #3 singles, Cassandra Califf will take her 3-6 record into the post-season as the number three seed. Julie Kline posted 6-4 record in singles this past regular season and will compete in the #4 singles competition as the third overall seed. Alyssa Kuhn enters the fifth singles bracket as the number seven seed while teammate Brittany Kress begins play on Friday as the fourth seed in number six singles.

The Golden Tornadoes will also place a pair of doubles teams in the post-season field at #2 and #3 doubles. The tandem of Amy Weller and Julie Kline will compete as the number seven seed in second doubles. That team finished the regular season with a record of 4-4. Meanwhile, Brittany Kress and Courtney Light are seeded fifth in #3 doubles after posting a 4-5 mark in the regular season.
