Geneva Keeps Rolling in Home Opener

Beaver Falls, PA – With 11 matches already under their belt, the Geneva College volleyball game finally got to play a match on its home court. The results on the home floor were much like the results on the road as the Golden Tornadoes continued to roll with a 3-0 victory over Waynesburg University by scores of 25-17, 25-14, 25-16. With the victory, Geneva moved to 11-1 overall and remained perfect in the PAC with a record of 4-0.

Geneva cruised past the Yellow Jackets, who fell to 0-3 in conference play. Deanna Briody continued her hot stretch with a team best 31 assists and 12 digs. Kristland McCracken added 11 digs with Paige Banyas chipping in with ten. At the net, Ashley Davis showed up in a big way with 16 kills as the only Geneva player to reach double digit kills on the night.

Geneva has been playing a busy schedule with three victories in 24 hours and have earned some time off. The Golden Tornadoes will be away from action until they visit Mount Union next Tuesday night. Geneva returns home on September 26th to host Westminster College.
