Larry Griffith serves as Executive Vice President of Geneva College, overseeing the areas of marketing, enrollment, institutional advancement, operations, business and finance. He joined Geneva’s leadership team in 2009 after serving as a Lieutenant in the U.S. Navy and later as an Area President with Alltel Wireless.

Over the course of his career, Larry has become an enthusiast of servant leadership which was an outgrowth of his spiritual life.  He has been recognized for his ability to lead by example, creating an environment that inspires high levels of performance.  Beyond bottom line performance, Larry has found the greatest joy in helping men and women on his team grow both in the workplace and in their personal lives, a legacy of immeasurable value. 

At Alltel Wireless, Larry served various senior leadership roles for 17 years, including corporate, regional and field roles with responsibility for general management, operations, sales, marketing and finance. 

Prior to entering the private sector, Larry served for six years in the United States Navy, holding the leadership rank of Lieutenant, serving in the Supply Corps.

Larry holds a bachelor’s degree from Geneva College.  At Geneva, he experienced an academic rigor and a Christ-centered perspective that prepared him for his life’s calling. “God used Geneva to help make me the person I am today,” he noted. “The curriculum was practical, providing me with the knowledge and the tools to be productive in the workplace. My education was both academically and spiritually challenging. Geneva taught me that excellence matters because everything we do is an opportunity to honor God.”

He continues, “I gained so much at Geneva. It has been an honor and privilege to return to my alma mater to give back and help others to get the same academically challenging, Christ-centered education I received.”

He and his wife Kim have four children and live in the North Hills of Pittsburgh where they attend Oak Hill Alliance Church in Cranberry.
