MSOL Alumna receives H. John Heinz Award for community service

Debra Germany-Morrison
Debra Germany-Morrison, Cohort 69 was honored by the Mon Valley Initiative (MVI) at an Annual Dinner and Community Awards Ceremony held on October 22, 2010 at the Westwood Golf Club in West Mifflin, Pa. Ms. Germany-Morrison received the H. John Heinz Award for Community Service, an award presented annually to an individual who has demonstrated diligence in promoting and furthering the resurgence of the Mon Valley.

Through this year’s award nomination process, the MVI Board determined that the leadership Ms. Germany-Morrison has shown through her dedication to the Southwestern PA Reentry Coalition demonstrates her interest in helping those in the region.

Congratulations, Debra, from the Geneva College Department of Leadership Studies and your fellow alumni!

Words to Lead by

“People know it. In their deep inner lives, they know what they ought to be doing. And they know it would improve quality of life. The challenge is to develop the character and competence to listen to it and live by it — to act with integrity in the moment of choice.”
- Stephen R. Covey

“...Our conscience testifies that we have conducted ourselves in the world, and especially in our relations with you, with integrity and godly sincerity. We have done so, relying not on worldly wisdom but on God's grace.”
- II Corinthians 1:12
