Meet the Assistant Coaches

JASON MCCOWIN

Jason McCowinJason McCowin returns for his fourth season on the bench as one of Geneva’s assistant in 2008-09. McCowin’s last coaching position was as the head boys basketball coach at New Brighton High School, where he spent five years leading the Lions’ program.

The 1993 Geneva graduate played for the Golden Tornadoes under Jerry Slocum from 1988-90. A two-year letter winner while at Geneva, McCowin will continue his work as a teacher in the New Brighton School District.

Prior to Geneva, McCowin played and attended Blackhawk High School. Currently, he and his wife Lisa reside in Economy Township.

 

 


KEITH HUMPHRIES

Keith HumphriesBeginning his tenth season as a Geneva assistant, Keith Humphries has become a fixture on the Golden

Tornadoes sideline. Previously an assistant on the football coaching staff, Humphries is certainly no stanger to College Hill.

A graduate of Aliquippa High School, Humphries played Division I football at Louisville University. Santarsiero added Humphries to his staff to improve guard play and that is exactly what has happened during the last eight seasons.

Humphries and his wife Virta reside in New Brighton with their daughter, Seqeena.


 

Point of Excellence

Geneva College is the only CCCU institution with a full-time program in Rome, Italy. In Rome, students spend a semester studying the humanities, traveling throughout Italy and Europe, and engaging in volunteer activities.
