In his first three years at the helm for the Geneva men’s soccer program, Gary Dunda has led the Golden Tornadoes to a 40-16-10 overall record. Dunda watched Geneva finish the 2011 campaign at 16-6-3 while finishing second in the PAC conference tournament in just its first year of eligibility. In addition, Dunda helped lead the Golden Tornadoes to the NCCAA national tournament where Geneva finished second in the nation. 2012 the Golden Tornadoes continued their postseason appearances as the PAC and NCCAA East Regional Finalists. Prior to his time at Goucher, Dunda had coaching stints as the women’s soccer coach at Missouri Valley and the associate men’s and women’s coach at Ottawa University. A graduate of Messiah College in 1997 with a degree in sport and exercise science, Dunda also will be joining the Physical Education Department as an instructor. In addition to his bachelor’s degree, Dunda obtained a master’s degree in sports administration from Emporia State University in 2001. During his time at Messiah, Dunda played on the nationally recognized varsity team from 1993-96. A NSCAA National and Advanced Licensed soccer coach, Dunda has also had the opportunity to lead international soccer tours to Spain (2009), England and Scotland (2006) during his time as head coach at Goucher. Dunda and his wife Heather have relocated to Beaver County along with their three children Madeline (10) and Wil (8) and Luke (1).
