MSOL Alumni Happenings

  • Kevin Boozel, Cohort 89, has announced his candidacy for Butler County Democratic commissioner in the 2015 primary. Kevin is the Project Manager for PA 211 Southwest, which is a free resource and information hub powered through the United Way of Allegheny County.
  • Tim Geibel, Cohort 31, received the Emerging Leader of the Year award from the Meadville Western Crawford County Chamber of Commerce. Tim has been the executive director of the Crawford Area Transportation Authority since 2006.
  • Gary Hazy, Cohort 44, joined MHY Family Services (Mars Home for Youth) in July 2014 as Performance and Quality Improvement Manager. MHY is located in Mars, PA.
  • Ken Russo, Cohort 79, was recently hired as the National Service Director for HUB Parking Technologies in Warrendale, PA.
  • Ray Tyson, Cohort 22, was promoted to Financial Advisor/Associate Vice President of Hefren-Tillotson, Inc. in February 2014. Ray joined Hefren-Tillotson in 2006.

MSOL Faculty Happenings

  • Dr. Mitch Nickols appeared as a panelist on PCNC's "NightTalk: Get to the Point" on June 6, 2014. The topic was "Fatherhood.”
  • Dr. Maureen Vanterpool retired from Geneva College after 14 years of service as a full-time instructor for the MSOL program. A retirement reception was held on Friday, June 13, 2015 at the Pittsburgh North Marriott in Cranberry.
