Remembering Mrs. Agnes Clarke (1921-2009)

Agnes & Edwin ClarkeA longtime supporter and friend of Geneva College, Mrs. Agnes Thorburn Clarke was called to the Lord on Wednesday, September 30, 2009.

She was a lifelong member of the Reformed Presbyterian Church of North America and a loyal supporter of Geneva College. Her husband, Edwin, served as president of the college between 1956 and 1980. She was also an active volunteer throughout her life, serving in the Salvation Army and the auxiliary of Heritage Valley Health System.

President emeritus Dr. John H. White officiated a memorial service on Monday, October 5, 2009 at College Hill Reformed Presbyterian Church, Beaver Falls.

Mrs. Clarke was a beloved member of the Geneva community and had a tremendous impact on the institution and its members. Therefore, Geneva is collecting and posting memorial messages. To read tributes that have been sent in and to post your own, please click here.
