February is Black History Month, and Geneva College will celebrate with a series of special events coordinated by the Black Student Organization (BSO) and the Office of Multiethnic Student Services.
“Multiethnic Student Services and the Black Student Organization seek to provide awareness for their ethnic cultures, and we encourage the community to come and take part!” says director Cindy Cook.

Campus-wide Soul Food Dinner Alexander Hall Celebrate the “food for the soul” that the African-American ancestors took the time to prepare and share with family. Hosted by the BSO, this year’s event also includes a program of music and ethnic dances. |

African American Read-in Chain Student Center, Skye Lounge This coffee house event will feature music, poetry, readings and writings all by African-American authors. The event is hosted by the BSO. |

Movie Night Science & Engineering, Room 022 Geneva’s Multiethnic Student Services will host this movie night focusing on African-American actors and actresses. |

The Multiethnic Student Services office serves the needs of all multiethnic students, which include our African American, Asian Pacific Islanders, Biracial, Hispanic and Native American populations.
