Farewell to Brandon Lewis

After a courageous four-year battle with leukemia, Brandon Lewis passed away last Friday. Brandon enrolled at Geneva College in the fall of 2005 as a football recruit and spent the entire 2005-06 school year on the college campus. After several complications, he underwent two bone marrow transplants over the past two years. It was his hope to return to Geneva College and Golden Tornadoes football. Brandon finally lost his battle, but not before leaving a legacy of courage across the Geneva College community.

During his four-year fight, Brandon lost both parents and his grandmother to cancer. Despite those hardships, Brandon remained positive and continued his incredible zest for life. Geneva College Head Football Coach Geno DeMarco simply said this, "Through his battle, it is amazing to see the number of people that he touched. Knowing that he wanted to come back to Geneva this semester tells you all you need to know about his character. He fought until the Lord called him home."
