Geneva College invites the campus and community to the annual Genevans Christmas concert on December 3 and 4. The concert will take place at First Presbyterian Church, located on the corner of 8th Ave and 11th St. in Beaver Falls, Pa. The handbell ensemble Jubilation in Bronze will perform a prelude at 7:30 p.m. followed by the Genevans choir at 8 p.m. Admission is free and a free-will offering will be received to support the Genevans’ world-wide ministry.

The theme of the concert is “Gloria!” The 66-member choir will perform various anthems and Christmas hymn arrangements by English, American and French composers, highlighted by Vivaldi’s “Gloria” featuring Lauren Holmes and Sarah Falk, sopranos ; Lindsay Brothers, mezzo-soprano; pianist Lindsay York; and guest organist Andria Alexander. Additional selections will be performed by vocal ensembles the Grace Notes and Madrigal Singers.

Director Dr. Robert Copeland says, “This choir has a very rich, satisfying sound, and the audience is in for a treat. We’re excited about this music and look forward to sharing it.”
