“The Genevans’ Spring Tour is an exciting time to let people know about Geneva and give them an opportunity to meet current students, along with being treated to beautiful music,” says Copeland.
Established in 1938, The Genevans represent the merger of Geneva’s original men’s and women’s glee clubs. Since then, the choir has performed across the United States and Canada, as well as in ten European countries, to significant acclaim.
The Genevans have been directed for twenty-seven years by Dr. Robert Copeland, a Geneva alumnus who earned his M.Mus. and Ph.D. degrees from the College-Conservatory of Music at the University of Cincinnati. Prior to joining the Geneva faculty, he served in the U.S. Army and taught in Kansas for ten years. Dr. Copeland is also an active elder in his church.
Geneva College is a comprehensive Christian college of the arts, sciences and professional studies. Founded in the tradition of the Reformed Christian faith, Geneva prepares students to serve Christ in all areas of society: work, family and the church. Geneva is a founding member of the Council for Christian Colleges & Universities (CCCU).
Geneva College was selected to join the Undergraduate Microbial Genome Annotation Program, an initiative of the Department of Energy’s Joint Genome Institute (JGI).
