Geneva's Advancement Officer is a Certified Fund Raising Executive

pic-janet-barlett.jpgGeneva College Advancement Officer Janet Barlett has achieved recertification as a Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE). Barlett was first awarded CFRE certification in 1994 and has recertified every three years since that time, demonstrating her commitment to the advancement of philanthropy, continued professional development and service to others. She is one of only around 5,300 professional fundraisers from around the world to hold the CFRE designation. CFRE International is “an independent 501(c)(6) whose sole mission is dedicated to setting standards in philanthropy through a valid and reliable certification process.”

Geneva College is committed to biblical and ethical stewardship of its resources, and the college’s fundraising and financial practices have met the approval of the Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability (EFCA). This approval signifies that Geneva has faithfully adhered to established standards including the areas of “board governance, financial transparency, integrity in fundraising, and proper use of charity resources.”
