New Vice President of Advancement

Jeff JonesBeaver Falls, PA - Jeff Jones is the new Vice President of Advancement at Geneva College. Jones comes to the college from Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary in Mill Valley, California, where he served as the Director of Development.

Jones spent eight years in development at Golden Gate. His responsibilities included the areas of campaign development and management, annual giving, planned giving, major gifts, external relations and marketing. Paired with his leadership, this practical experience will help him as he transitions into his new role at Geneva.

As the Vice President of Advancement at Geneva, Jones will oversee the fundraising efforts of the college. He approaches his work with a strong sense of conviction and calling. He says, “I feel that part of my calling is to use the talents and abilities God has given me to help Christian higher education institutions raise resources to fulfill their mission. Comprehensive institutions, like Geneva College, are able to have a great impact on the future by preparing exceptional leaders and professionals to share Christ’s love throughout the world. Providing the resources for this to happen more effectively is the ministry to which I have dedicated my life.”

Jones is a doctoral candidate at Azusa Pacific University and expects to receive a Ph.D. in Higher Education Leadership in the winter of 2010. His dissertation traces the history of strengths-based leadership in Christian higher education. In addition, Jones has a Master of Divinity from Golden Gate Seminary and a Bachelor of Science in business administration from Southeast Missouri State University.

Jones and his wife, Melissa, have a daughter Alie, 3, and reside in Center Township, Pa.
