Beaver Falls, PA – Last Wednesday night, Geneva’s women’s basketball team defeated Chatham College in a Presidents’ Athletic Conference match-up. Although only a couple hundred people witnessed the game at Metheny Fieldhouse, alumni, friends and family were able to follow all the action with Geneva’s new Live Stats program on the Geneva Web site.
Live Stats allow fans to follow each play throughout the game, as well as get immediate statistical updates. The new program enables fans to follow the game as if they were actually in attendance.
For the remainder of the basketball season, Live Stats will be available on the Web for all home games. Fans can follow the live action in front of their own computers this Saturday night when the Golden Tornadoes host Thiel College in a men’s and women’s doubleheader beginning at 5:30 p.m. In addition to the new Live Stats program, both games will be broadcast on WBVP-1230 AM and will be available on MSA Sports via the Geneva College Web site.
Later this spring, softball and baseball games will also be covered with the live stats program. Next fall, Geneva will also provide live stat updates for football and men’s and women’s soccer.
