Media Advisory: Henry Mancini Musical Theatre Awards

Invitation to cover Henry Mancini Musical Theatre Awards  

WHAT: 12th Annual Henry Mancini Musical Theatre Awards.  

WHEN: Wednesday, May 24 at 7 p.m.  

WHERE: Metheny Fieldhouse at Geneva College, Route 18 (three miles south of PA Turnpike exit 2).  

WHO: Fifteen high schools from Beaver, Butler and Lawrence counties will compete for “Henrys.” Chris Mancini Jr., grandson of Ginny and the late Henry Mancini, will represent the family at this year's ceremony.  Special guest presents include: Ian Rosenberger, emcee for event; Etta Cox, singer, artist, Dowe's on 9th co-owner; Donna Groom, female lead singer, Skyliners; Frank LaGrotta, State Representative; Jonathan Eaton, director for Opera Theater of Pittsburgh; and B. E. Taylor, national recording artist.  

WHY: Honoring local students for their efforts and dedication in presenting high school musicals.  

HOW: In addition to the awards ceremony, each high school will be performing a selection from their musical.  

On-site media contact is Jeffrey Schindel, who can provide reporters/photographers with a listing of nominees and winners.
