| Winners of MLK Essay Contest announced |
David Ketter, a senior Christian ministries major from Oakdale, Pennsylvania, was awarded first place ($300) for his essay “Are We Really One In Christ? American Evangelicalism and Its Response to Racism.” He presented his paper to an audience of students, faculty and staff and then received comments from a panel of student readers. The second-place winner ($150) was Greg Williams, a junior history and sociology major from Chicago. Tying for third place ($75 each) were Danielle Nowak, a junior English major from Heidlelberg, Pennsylvania, and Matthew Schroeder, a senior applied mathematics major from Valencia, Pennsylvania.
