Geneva College’s student choir The Genevans will host “Songs from the Movies” on Friday, February 28 and Saturday, March 1. The concerts will both be in John White Chapel of Old Main at 7:30 p.m.
“Songs from the Movies” will include music from Skyfall, Donnie Darko, The Lion King, Frozen and a number of additional popular films.
“I am excited for this year's show. I think the show will be one of diversity and talented performers,” said senior Isaac Fritsch, the group’s business manager.
Proceeds from the concerts will support The Genevans 2014 International Tour to the Philippines and Malaysia. The choir will tour for 21 days beginning May 11.
“We will be performing concerts hoping to spread the good news of the Bible around the world as Jesus commanded in the Great Commission,” said Fritsch.
Tickets can be purchased in advance by calling 724-847-6660. The price is $7 for adults and $4 for students or children.
Tickets can also be purchased at the door for an additional dollar; $8 for adults and $5 for students or children.
