"Passing the Torch" Concert

New Song will hold the annual “Passing the Torch” concert on Sunday April 29, 2012 at 3:30p.m. The concert will take place at the College Hill Church of the Nazarene located at 3600 4th Avenue, Beaver Falls, PA.

“The New Song ‘Passing of the Torch’ Concert is a time of celebration for us,” says current New Song member Joshua Buck. “We perform one last time and are given the privilege of welcoming the new members into New Song by singing together.  Music is such a big part of our lives and we will sorely miss it next year.”

Repertoire for the concert includes a cappella psalms, drama, hymn arrangements, contemporary Christian songs, spirituals and more. During the concert, the 2011 group will be joined by incoming members of New Song 2012. The current group has performed over 50 times across 19 states.

“New Song 2011 was a wonderful group to work with and I am looking forward to hearing the sound of New Song 2012,” says the director of New Song, Professor Louise Copeland.
