Registration for Gold and White Day, Geneva’s athletic open house, is officially open. Scheduled for January 19, 2008, this event provides a unique opportunity for college-bound high school students to learn about the academic and athletic aspects of Geneva College.
Beginning at 12:00 p.m. with registration, the afternoon and evening agenda is designed specifically for student-athletes. After lunch in the dining hall, students will have a chance to tour the campus, meet with admissions counselors and discover ways to finance their education. Students can also meet with coaches and current student-athletes to learn more about Geneva’s tradition of excellence in and out of the classroom.
Visitors can complete their campus visit by watching Geneva athletics in action. The women’s and men’s basketball teams will host new PAC rival Thiel College in Metheny Fieldhouse, one of the best basketball arenas in the Tri-State area. The women’s tip-off is at 5:30 p.m. and the men’s at 7:30 p.m.
Space is limited, so interested students are encouraged to reserve their spot soon. Those who wish to register can do so online or may call the admissions office at 724-847-6500.
