Shane & Shane, Bethany Dillon & Phil Wickham in concert

Shane & Shane, Bethany Dillon and Phil Wickham share a little holiday cheer before taking the stage in 2008.Popular contemporary Christian band Shane & Shane will open its Christmas tour, “Glory in the Highest,” at Metheny Fieldhouse at Geneva College on Wednesday, December 2. The concert, which begins at 7 p.m., will also feature performances by Bethany Dillon and Phil Wickham.

Averaging 275 shows a year, Shane & Shane has been a leading contemporary Christian bands for over a decade. Songs such as “Vision of You”, “Burn Us Up” and “Beg” are compelling devotions lapped up by the general college circuit. With tour dates and locations across the U.S., the band’s Christmas tour will begin right here in Beaver Falls and include nine other markets.

The acoustic guitar duo mark up over a half a million total records sold. Their newly released album Everything is Different was carefully created after a re-evaluation of their purpose as Christian worship performers. The ultimate theme of the album illustrates the underlying ministry of Shane & Shane, to tell people about Jesus.

Alongside Shane & Shane will be recording artists Bethany Dillon and Phil Wickham. Dillon began her recording debut at the age of 14. Now 21, Dillon is married to Shane & Shane member Shane Barnard. Her recent album Stop & Listen is centered on a woman’s desire to understand God’s grace. Wickham is planning to release his album Heaven and Earth in mid-November. Safe, the first single off Wickham’s album is about God’s faithfulness in a time of need.

Tickets for Glory in the Highest are on sale at www.itickets.com and are $10 for general admission and $15 for reserved seating. For group sales, call 724-630-0817.
