Music Department events

The Geneva College Music Department prepares a number of performances each semester, through which students share their talents with the campus and surrounding communities. Events include a wide variety of vocal and instrumental ensembles, as well as a number of student recitals. 

The schedule of events for the spring semester includes:

February 17-18
A Night at the Movies
(performance to benefit the Genevans)
Fri. at 7:30 p.m. and Sat. at 5 p.m. in John White Chapel (tickets required)

March 24
The Genevans Annual Spring Concert and Reunion
7:30 p.m. in the Beaver Falls Middle School Auditorium

March 30
Saxophone Quartet
7 p.m. in John White Chapel

April 14
“In the Mood” by the Jazz Band
8 p.m. in John White Chapel (tickets required)

April 20
Symphonic Band Annual Spring Concert
7:30 p.m. in Metheny Fieldhouse

April 26
Percussion Ensemble Annual Spring Concert
7:30 p.m. in John White Chapel

April 28
Jubilation in Bronze Handbell Choir Spring Concert
3 p.m. in John White Chapel

Chair of the Music Department Don Kephart is pleased with the variety of this year’s schedule: “The final weeks of the semester turn into a whirlwind of concerts and recitals. If you just look at the concert programs alone, you can certainly find something, if not many programs, to satisfy anyone’s musical interests.”
