Student and Alumni Networking Event

Geneva College will be hosting the Student and Alumni Networking Event on Wednesday, February 9 in Skye Lounge from 6-7:30 p.m. Current students will have the opportunity to meet Geneva alumni who have gone on to successful careers and learn about potential internship and job opportunities in their field of interest.

“This is a great way for students to hear from Geneva alumni about their experience on how they built their careers post-graduation,” says Constituent Relations Representative Josh Gmys.

The format for the event is a panel discussion with members of the Geneva College Alumni Association representing five different fields: communications, business, biology, education and engineering. The representatives work for companies such as UPMC, BP Insurance Inc., Johnson Control, Therapy Institute and South Side Beaver High School, and possess at least 10 years of experience in their fields. Seated at tables with the students will be two table hosts who are recent Geneva graduates. They will facilitate the question and answer period of the panel discussion.

Students will also be educated on effective ways to network and the benefits of building relationship with alumni of Geneva College. The attire for the event is business casual and students are expected to follow the dress code. Students should not wear jeans to this event.
