Summer sports camps

BEAVER FALLS, Pa. – Applications are now being accepted for the many sports camps on the Geneva College campus this summer. The camps offered range from men’s and women’s basketball, to girl’s and boy’s soccer, to majorette and color guard.

 

Men’s Basketball Camps:

  • June 7 Team Camp – (Junior Varsity and Varsity High School teams) High school teams participate in a one-day tournament against other outstanding competition from Ohio and Pennsylvania. $230/ team.
  • June 11-12 Shooting/Big Man Day Camp - (Open to boys grades 4-12) The camp focuses on shooting form, approach and building confidence. The camp focuses daily on becoming a better shooter and post player. Lunch is included. $60.
  • June 30-July 3 Day Camp – 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. (Open to boys grades 4-12) The day camp is designed to offer individual and group instruction in all areas of the game. Work on defense, rebounding, dribbling, passing and shooting. Team competition, drills to build fundamentals. Lunch is included. $125.
  • July 13-17 Overnight Camp - (Open to boys grades 4-12) Great camp for individual attention both on and of the basketball court. Focus on becoming a complete basketball player. 24-hour supervision with coaches and counselors. Team competition, lecture, film sessions and daily instruction in all areas of basketball. $295, commuter $245.

Women’s Basketball Camps:

  • June 15-19 Basketball Camp - $260, commuter $245.
  • Elite Shooting Camp – Date to be announced. $150, commuter, $140.
  • July 6-10 Basketball Camp - $260, commuter $245.
  • Team Camp also available; more to be announced.
  • All women’s basketball camps are open to grades 5-12.

Girls and Boys Soccer Camps:

  • June 22-26 Session A – Boys and girls ages 8-13.
  • June 29-July 3 Session B – Boys and girls ages 8-13.
  • July 6-10 Session C – Boys and girls ages 12-17.
  • July 13-17 Session D – Boys and girls ages 12-17.
  • July 20-24 Session E – Boys and girls ages 13-17.
  • All dates include:
    Resident Camp (Sunday 6:30 p.m. – Thursday 8:30 p.m.) $395.
    Commuter Level 1 (Monday through Thursday 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.) $270.
    Commuter Level 2 (Monday through Thursday 7:30 a.m. – 8:30 p.m.) $340.

Majorette and Flag/Color Guard Camp:

  • June 23-26 Camp – (open to girls ages 12 – high school).
  • Registration begins with registration between 11:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. on June 23.
  • Camp ends at 2 p.m. following an awards ceremony on June 26.
  • The camp is meant to provide assistance and instruction on majorette and flag twirling techniques. Majorettes will have classes such as dance twirl, marching, strut, 2- and 3- baton, hoop, knives and fire. Flags will have classes in fundamentals, routine design and equipment ideas. Lunch will be provided. Single resident $260, Commuter $230. Group discounts may be applied.
