Symphonic band to perform free concert

Geneva College Symphonic Band

The Geneva College symphonic band will perform its annual spring concert on Saturday, April 25 at 7:30 p.m. at the Beaver Falls Middle School auditorium. The concert is free and open to the public.

The 73-member symphonic band, under the direction of Professor Donald Kephart, will present a number of both traditional and contemporary works, including Elliott Del Borgo’s “Tryptich II,” “March of the Steel Men,” and a suite of hymnsongs specifically arranged for a wind ensemble.

The Geneva College flute ensemble will perform prior to the symphonic band, and the Geneva College jazz band will also play selections from their recent In the Mood XIV concert.
