New director of alumni relations

Tom SteinGeneva College is pleased to welcome Tom Stein as director of alumni relations. Stein comes to Geneva from Christ Presbyterian Church in Richmond, IN, where he has served as senior pastor since 1999. He was previously the pastor at Parkwood Reformed Presbyterian Church in Farmington, MN. Prior to becoming a pastor, Stein worked in radio as a talk-show host, news anchor and sports broadcaster.

Vice President of Advancement Jeff Jones says, “Tom was chosen for his ability to communicate to a broad array of audiences in various modes. His skill of communicating clearly the college’s mission coupled with his ability to listen will enable him to engage a broad base of alumni for greater advancement purposes.”

Stein graduated from Geneva College in 1986 as valedictorian with a bachelor’s degree in pre-ministerial studies and broadcasting. He then went on to earn his Master of Divinity at Covenant Theological Seminary in 1991. In 1996, he received a master of arts in journalism at Indiana University.

"I am honored and excited to be returning to a place I love–one that has been so formative in my journey,” says Stein. “I especially anticipate the joy of reconnecting with a Christian community that possesses a passion for Christ-centered learning and service.  I hope and pray this office will be a blessing to our alumni, so that together we may advance the mission of Geneva."
