Geneva sponsors Chris Tomlin concert

Burning_Lights_Tour.jpgGeneva College and Generation: Exodus are joining to bring Dove Award-winning Christian musician Chris Tomlin to Pittsburgh’s Consol Energy Center on Saturday, February 23, 2013 at 7 p.m. Tomlin is coming to town, along with Louie Giglio and Kari Jobe, as part of his “Burning Lights Tour.”

Tickets purchased through Geneva will be in a special group seating area. The college is offering Geneva community members a special price of $23 for tickets, including all fees, which is a discount of $22 off the regular price. All tickets purchased through Geneva will also come with a free Geneva wristband.

In January 2013, a limited supply of tickets discounted to $13 will be available to current Geneva students through the Student Programs Office. These tickets must be purchased in the Student Programs Office and a current student ID is required. Student Programs will also provide bus transportation to and from the concert. Christ Tomlin is an American Christian Contemporary Music artist and songwriter. He was awarded Male Vocalist of the Year at the 2006, 2007 and 2008 GMA Dove Awards, as well as the 2007 Dove Artist of the Year. Tomlin’s And if Our God Is For Us… earned him a Grammy Award for Best Contemporary Christian Music Album in 2012. His new album, Burning Lights, will be available January 8, 2013.

Louie Giglio is a speaker and renowned evangelist for spiritual awakening in this generation.

Christian artist Kari Jobe released her first major-label self-titled album in 2009, which reached number one on iTunes' Christian music chart and number three on Billboard's Christian music chart. Her latest album, Where I Find You, includes the hit radio single “We Are.”
