Torch Relay - More than 160 people will pass a torch for approximately 12.5 miles in honor of the 160th anniversary celebration of Geneva College on Saturday, April 19. A flame will be sparked in Northwood, Ohio, where Geneva was founded, taken across Ohio and then passed by torch until it reaches the college in Beaver Falls, Penn. The flame’s journey begins at 11:30 a.m. in Northwood, is expected at the Pennsylvania border at 5 p.m. and at the college at 8:30 p.m. (Full story)
Alumni Weekend – Geneva will host its annual alumni weekend on April 18-19. This weekend will celebrate Geneva’s 160th anniversary, and will also feature a softball reunion and a Chemistry major and minor reunion. (Full story)
Among a recent sampling of chemistry graduates, 83% were able to work in an internship or research experience during college years, and 100% had employment in their field or were accepted into graduate school within three months of graduation.
