February 2-3, 2007 - Family WeekendFebruary is kicking off with Family Weekend, featuring everything from a Broadway Revue performance to basketball games. Geneva's Family Weekend, scheduled for Friday, Feb. 2, and Saturday, Feb. 3, offers parents, students, siblings and other family members a weekend to remember. Friday kicks off at 4:30 p.m. with registration and a family-day buffet dinner in Alexander Hall. The Broadway Revue, on Friday and Saturday nights, will showcase the talents of faculty and students and double as a fund-raising event for Geneva Women, an alumni group that provides financial support in a variety of ways. Friday will conclude with an ice-cream social in the Brig. Parents may experience a Humanities lecture by Professor Shirley Kilpatrick at 8:45 a.m. Saturday in the Presidents' Dining Room in Alexander Hall, followed by a session introducing the people, programs and services available to students as they pursue their calling and vocation at Geneva. Free time will follow a 10 a.m. brunch, and the Lady GTs will take on Franciscan University in the Fieldhouse at 5:30 p.m. The Geneva men's basketball team will face Seton Hill University at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are required for many of the weekend's events.
