Geneva baseball surrenders early lead; Falls to Bathany 3-2

gc-baseball-3-13-106.gifBeaver Falls, PA– Geneva scored two early runs on RBIs by Jeremy Herzog (Freedom) and Aaron Witman (Shalom Christian Academy, PA) in the third but couldn’t push any more runs across and fell 3-2 to Bethany.

“We had our chances but left 12 men on base,” said Geneva coach Alan Sumner.

Shane Wingard (Apollo-Ridge and Dan Jeffreys (Moon) each had a pair of hits as the Golden Tornadoes finished with 10 hits.

Geneva, now 9-21 and 5-9 in the Presidents’ Athletic Conference, returns to action Tuesday at Grove City.
