Geneva baseball drops pair to W&J, 16-1 and 6-1

gc-bb-4-14-077.jpgBeaver Falls, PA - Geneva was able to gather eight hits in both ends of a doubleheader against Washington & Jefferson but could only score once in each game and that wasn’t nearly enough.

“We made too many mistakes in the first game and they seemed to capitalize on every one,” said Geneva coach Alan Sumner. “Game two was a good game but we allowed four unearned runs.”

Aaron Witman (Shalom Christian Academy, PA) had two hits Friday night and followed that up with three singles in the second game. In the first game, Tyler Damazo (Blackhawk) had a double and a single to lead the Golden Tornadoes.

Geneva is now 11-24 and 7-12 in the Presidents’ Athletic Conference.
