Pittsburgh, PA – The Geneva Tennis Team continued their season on the road, facing their conference opponent Chatham Cougars. After a stainless match against the Bethany Bison the Golden Tornadoes continued their winning streak with a final 8-1 decision.
Hitting the court in singles, Elizabeth Stewart gave Cougar opponent double vision with 6-1 consecutive results. Julie Kline (6-4, 6-2), Sam Jensen (7-6 (4), 6-3) and Christine Bullock (6-1, 6-0) all had strong victories against the Lady Cougars.
Kress and Courtney Light teamed up for a shut out on the court for a 8-0 victory. Kline and C. Bullock (8-5) along with Jensen and J. Bullock (8-2) fought hard for another pair of ‘W’s.
The Golden Tornadoes will enjoy their season home opener on Friday hosting Westminster at 4:00 p.m. at Brady’s Run.
