Geneva Women Basketball Preview vs W&J

Beaver Falls, PA– Geneva hosts the W&J Presidents for the 19th meeting between the two schools, closing the first round of conference rivals during the 2013-14 season. Last season Geneva was unable to produce a win against the powerhouse Presidents and look to leave the past in the past.

Washington & Jefferson step onto Golden Tornadoes soil coming off a 76-59 win in Washington, PA against Bethany College. The win bumps W&J up to tie with Westminster sitting at the fifth seed among conference opponents. Senior forward, Chelsea Apke, leads the Presidents’ game in the paint, averaging 16.8 points per game and 10.3 rebounds a game. Keeping the ball moving is President Kara Seamon with a total or 66 assists so far this season.

Impact freshman, Nicole Hyland, recorded her fourth double-double Saturday night with 20 points and 13 rebounds. Miranda Heaney found her stride outside the arch, sinking three three-pointers over the Titans contributing to her freshman campaigns 22 good three-point baskets.
