Mrs. Ann BurkheadAnn is the director of the Crossroads Office: Geneva’s Office for Off-Campus Study. She advises both international students and those planning to study off campus. She has worked for Geneva since 1991. |

Dr. Jeffrey ColeDr. Cole is the director of the Semester in Rome program. He is professor of history and humanities and has been a faculty member at Geneva College since 2003. Prior to the beginning of this program in 2009, Professor Cole led students on short-term trips to Italy during May Term. He received Geneva College’s Excellence in Teaching Award in 2009. Dr. Cole was associated with the Virginia Governor’s School for Humanities and Visual & Performing Arts at the University of Richmond for 12 years, three of those as director. He holds a Ph.D. in History from Bowling Green State University and earned an M.A. in Curriculum and Instruction and a B.A. in History from Lynchburg College. |

Dr. Lucy DeloguDr. Delogu is a native Italian who teaches the Italian Language & Culture course. She holds a Ph.D. in Italian Literature from Rutgers University and an MA in Italian Literature from Ohio State University. Dr. Delogu speaks English fluently and possesses a basic knowledge of Spanish. |

Dr. Sean DoyleDr. Doyle is the resident faculty member in Rome. Professor Doyle teaches the Humanities core (HUM 300) as well as the Italian Cinema course. He holds a Ph.D. from the University of Edinburgh, Scotland in the area of cultural history. He enjoys teaching and learning about new cultures, especially through summer travelling. He has visited nearly twenty different countries, in both eastern and western contexts, and is excited to discover and experience more of Italian culture. Dr. Doyle is especially pleased to be able to enjoy such wonderful locations as Venice, Rome, and Florence with his lovely wife Joy. |

Kara Lee MantinaosKara is the assistant director of Off-Campus Study and International Student Services. She advises both international students and those planning to study off campus, as well as students in Geneva’s Honors Program. Mrs. Mantinaos served in a similar role at Westminster College, and has been at Geneva since 2010.

Mrs. Nancy Pelaia(“Mrs. P.” to most students) is the program coordinator for the Semester in Rome and also works with the international students who attend Geneva College. She has been a part of the Geneva College community since 2000. |

Ms. Kristen SnyderKristen is the Site Director in Rome. She is responsible for the student life aspects of the program, leads the book discussion, and also serves as the program’s administrator and legal representative in Italy. |
Geneva College was selected to join the Undergraduate Microbial Genome Annotation Program, an initiative of the Department of Energy’s Joint Genome Institute (JGI).
