Located in Western Pennsylvania, where the fullness of all four seasons is experienced, a beauty exists in Geneva College′s tree-lined walkways, rolling hills and buildings dating from the late 1800s.

Red daffodils, purple crocuses and a variety of other flowers appear in patches across campus in the spring; vibrant green leaves fill the trees of summer; with fall comes the rustle of orange, red and yellow leaves; and winter is sure-not-to-disappoint with beautiful, crystalline snowfalls.

The wide variety of trees on Geneva′s campus provide a shady place for students who enjoy studying outdoors; and behind campus a set of railroad tracks run along the Beaver River with the base of Eastvale′s hillside across the way. This hill hosts Geneva′s monogram, which can be seen from the majority of campus. Climbing to the monogram is even more of a treat, as the view from above is a breathtaking look over campus and a large portion of Beaver Falls.

Many of Geneva′s buildings are reminiscent of castles, due to their large, stone structure and woodworking; this collegiate Gothic architecture attracts the attention of many students. Some students have even compared parts of Geneva′s campus to mystical worlds. When walking between McCartney Library and McKee Hall, senior Pamela Matteo explained, "Due to the old-fashioned, black lampposts and oval clock, I feel as though I′m walking through a scene in Narnia."

Beaver Falls also has some intriguing sites, with Buttermilk Falls and Brady′s Run Park less than 10 minutes from campus. While exploring Beaver Falls and nearby Chippewa Township, one will find a large variety of shops and stores along route 18.

Geneva′s options, however, do not stop in Beaver Falls. Geneva has an ideal location, being less than a 20 minute drive from Cranberry and less than an hour from downtown Pittsburgh. The proximity to Cranberry and Pittsburgh makes a dinner trip to Primanti Brothers or a visit to the Andy Warhol Museum easy. Also with proximity to Steelers football at Heinz Field or Penguins ice hockey at the Console Energy Center, students can experience their favorite sports on more than the big screen.

Because of these features, Christian Universities Online blogger Jeremy Alder ranked Geneva sixth among the top 25 most beautiful Christian Colleges in the nation, saying that students here "enjoy the best of both worlds, benefiting from the peace and charm of a rural setting while living a mere hour away from Pittsburgh."

Geneva has options for everyone with a small community feel, a beautiful campus and close proximity to the big city; be sure to schedule your appointment to visit.
