How do I pay my bill?

Where do I pay my bill, and whom can I call to ask questions?

Pay your bill at the Business Office in Old Main, or use the return envelope in your bill.  Please call Mary McConkey at 724- 847-6545 or Dianne Gayhart at 724- 847-6552 if you have questions.

When do I pay my bill?
The balance of your bill (minus financial aid) is due as follows:
Fall Semester Tuition - August 10
Spring Semester Tuition - January 2

Students who have not made arrangements to satisfy their account will not receive their ID cards. Additionally, unpaid student accounts are subject to registration cancellation.

How can I pay my bill?

  1. Bring cash or a check to the Business Office or mail a check.
  2. Pay monthly to AMS which is an optional outside service provided for a fee.  AMS payments start in April.  There are a variety of plans to cover your entire year's charges.  The six month plan is your only option in August, with a higher fee.  Your first payment on that six month plan is due in August.

I thought I paid my bill completely, why is there a balance again?

Stafford subsidized and unsubsidized loans listed on your Award letter may have a fee.  When loans are put on your account, that fee has already been deducted.  Parking and other fines are assessed as incurred.  Hall damages show on your account in the summer.  These are some of the items that can cause a balance on your account when you think it has been paid.

When will my refund be available?

Account refunds will be available two weeks after the start of classes, provided all funds have been received.  If your federal aid is higher than your charges at Geneva College, your refund will be available to you within 2 weeks from the start of classes.  Otherwise, you will need to complete a refund request form to receive your funds.

How are tuition and room deposits handled?

Tuition deposits will show on your account by the start of the semester.  Room deposits are refunded to non returning students in July, after residence hall damage charges are considered.

Why are we charged for student health insurance?

Students are required to have health insurance.  You will be billed for health insurance if you have not returned a waiver to the Business Office by the end of the "ADD" period for the semester's classes.

I have taken all the subsidized and unsubsidized loans available to me through financial aid.  Are there any other loans available?

How do I pay for my books?

Use cash, check, VISA, or MasterCard.
Please do not plan on using semester's refund to pay for books on the first day of class.

What does "estimated aid" mean on my bill?

Estimated aid is financial aid that you have signed for on your award letter but has not been applied to your account.  You will need to work with the Financial Aid department to make sure that all your required documents have been received.

What other charges may appear on my account?

Other charges beside room, board and fees may appear on your account.  It is important to identify the department placing the charge on your account and contact that department to have it removed.  You may contact these numbers to resolve questions with the following:

Parking tickets          847-5678
Residence Hall          847-6645
Financial Aid             847-6530
Library Fines             847-6563

Helpful tips!

Fees and aid may change due to class drops and adds, financial aid verification, additional scholarships received, etc.  Work study amounts on your Award Letter must be earned and paid onto you account.
