| Theodore O. Kay |
Undergrad: History & Social Studies, 1971 Graduate: Executive Management Program Certification, 1996 “I retired from General Motors Corporation in 2008 after almost 38 years of service, most recently as Finance Manager – Worldwide Facilities Group and Vice President of Finance – REALM & ENCORE Environmental Subsidiaries. I currently do part time consulting, financial management and tax preparation for various businesses and individuals, and occasional college and university lectures and presentations. I am currently a member of the Geneva Alumni Council (GAC), formerly serving as President from 2005 through 2010. I was honored to receive the 2001 Distinguished Service Award and the 2006 Life “G” Award from the Alumni Association of Geneva College. I have a passion for serving on the GAC because I appreciate the opportunities that a Geneva education provided me and want to do whatever I can to bring more stability and success to the college. I would also like to play a key role in “reconnecting” our alumni with Geneva so they can share their experiences and expertise with current students. I am a member of Tabernacle Missionary Baptist in Detroit, MI and like being involved in community activities to help educate and steer children and young adults to be productive and useful citizens. I am interested in and thoroughly enjoy traveling to visit friends and family, all kinds of music, photography, national news & politics, sports (especially the Pittsburgh Steelers), physical activity/working out to stay healthy and telling funny, but true, stories about my life experiences.” |
