J.G. Vos Memorial Lecture 2007

The J.G. Vos Memorial Lecture on Feb. 15 will highlight Dr. Peter Lillback, president and professor at Westminster Theological Seminary.

Dr. Lillback, who teaches historical theology at the Philadelphia-based seminary in addition to serving as president, will be on Geneva's campus Thursday, Feb. 15 and Friday, Feb. 16.

In addition to a luncheon Thursday for pastors and church leaders and a luncheon Friday for faculty, Lillback will give a public lecture at 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 15, in the John H. White Chapel in Old Main. The title of the presentation is "Covenant: The Central Theme for Understanding and Applying Scripture."

Lillback has authored books and numerous articles in the field of the Reformation and post-Reformation era, including The Binding of God: Calvin's Role in the Development of Covenant Theology. His most recent book is on the Christian faith of George Washington, titled George Washington's Sacred Fire, and he served as editor of and contributor to The Practical Calvinist: An Introduction to the Presbyterian and Reformed Heritage.
